NCCP Certification

All Ontario Basketball Association rep team coaches must be certified with the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). The Learn-to-Train certification is required for all coaches. The Train-to-Train certification is required for U13 and older head coaches. A copy of your NCCP transcript must be submitted with your coaching application. Obtain and save an electronic copy of the transcript, since you will need to email it when submitting your application. Here are the instructions for obtaining it:

• Go to www.coach.ca.
• Click on The Locker menu tab.
• Login to your NCCP account.
• Click on PROFILE menu tab.
• Click on CERTIFICATION in the sub-menu.
• Use the option to print your certification. You should be able to save it as a PDF.

Application

Those who wish to be considered for either a Head Coach or Assistant Coach position are invited to complete and submit this online application for the upcoming year's teams. To complete the application requirements and confirm that you have submitted, please email a copy of your NCCP transcript to collingwoodtrailblazers@gmail.com. Feel free to add any other information. Submission deadline is the end of June.

Coach Selection

The Collingwood Trailblazers coach selection committee will review the coach applications as well as the number of player signups at each age division, and successful candidates will be notified at some time in August.
